RESISTANCE unleash their GSR debut and newest album "LORDS OF TORMENT" upon the world and it is a crushing slab of molten metal, full of intense riffs ranging from fast technical thrashy pieces of virtuoso that'll make your head bang to monstrous grooves and melodic melancholic pieces that drone and move with gut wrenching feeling all topped off with earth shattering breakdowns. The drums are played with machine gun like precision and will pummel you relentlessly from start to finish, matching the volcanic brutality of the vocals that are in your face and filled with rage. "LORDS OF TORMENT" is one hell of a ride from start to finish and will kick off the new decade in style for the legions of metal followers. After a quiet 2009, KD's back on track for some cool shows in the near future. In March we'll be on the road in Germany, Belgium and France for some kickass club shows, as well as performances @ the legendary "BRINGING BACK THE GLORY" fest in Essen, Germany, and @ the "PARIS EXTREME" fest.
In June KD will hit the road for a few shows in France and Portugal as well as the "HELLFEST" in France. Later on in 2010 KNUCKLEDUST will tour Germany, Spain and Finland; stay tuned for more info.
In the meanwhile KNUCKLEDUST will prepare a new album, which will be released early 2011 to celebrate their 15th anniversary.

BACKFIRE! 1994 – 2009; The story ends.

After 15 awesome years of making music, writing songs, touring, hard work, dedication and most of all tons of fun and laughs, Backfire! is closing the book. 

We are grateful that we had the chance to play and tour as much as we did and we will always remember what we've got back from all of you people worldwide for so many years.

It was one of the hardest decisions in our lives but we think it's time to take different directions and keep the memories of this band alive as they are now, that is the best we could have asked for, there's no other way.

Thinking of the friends we've made during the years makes us feel proud and blessed, the friends we've lost are still with us in our minds and memories.
Thank you all so much for letting us do what we did, helping us and believing in us.

the Label story.... 

GSR has become one of the undisputed leaders of European Hardcore labels in the past 2 years and has seen a tremendous growth proving to be a professional label but with independent ideals. 
The label started out in 2000 with a re-release of Born From Pain’s MCD – Immortality. Since that moment on, the label has gone from strength to strength selling more units and releasing more records than the previous year. Building a better and stronger roster of bands, featuring some of the biggest Hardcore bands in the world right down to some of the soon-to-be biggest Hardcore bands in the world. 
Late 2003, GSR released the comeback EP of New York’s Madball which received much critical acclaim. The label has also played a big role in the rise of Born From Pain, who signed with Metal Blade Records late 2004 after releasing 2 very successful albums, a MCD and a split MCD on GSR. 
Since those years well known acts like Knuckledust (UK), Backfire! (NL), Arkangel (B) and To Kill (It) found their way to the GSR roster.
GSR, by nature, is a Hardcore label. Where some labels seem to create boundaries for themselves and release only one style of Hardcore, GSR is proving itself as an open minded and diverse label which releases bands that play various styles that all fly a Hardcore banner. Crossing all kinds of boarders from Old-School to Metalcore and with some bands showing Punk and Oi! influences, GSR is constantly releasing challenging and diverse bands that push the boundaries to the limit. 
A great foundation has already been shaped by GSR during it's first 10 years of existence and now it is set to continue and shape it's own legacy as we enter into a new decade with recent releases from already well known and established bands such as Kickback (Fr) and The Setup (B), but also newer acts such as All For Nothing (NL) and Resistance (B), GSR will continue to release the best of the best of diverse underground bands for another decade and beyond. GSR has always and will always continue to stick it’s neck out for the youngest generation of bands, equally supporting up and coming new and young bands as well as some of hardcore’s established greats.
Besides that, GSR Music also has two other departments in GSR Events and GSR Distro. GSR Events being responsible for our festivals and GSR Distro for our official distribution of GSR releases. These are smaller divisions of the label, but are all about spreading the word of GSR Music, it’s possibilities and it’s integrity.
GSR Music always has and always will represent the Hardcore underground with a professional attitude and a sense of true integrity, which makes GSR Music and it’s divisions a stronghold for everybody that always has and always will believe in the true sense of real, heartfelt underground music.
